Sales Executive – San Francisco

Summary

The Sales Executive is a vital contributor within the Sales Organization. The highly motivated Sales Executive will service existing west coast clients as well as target and prospect new business opportunities. This role will educate and influence the market on our product lines to build strong long-term relationships. The Sales Executive will collaborate with customers to deliver stock and custom beauty packaging solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, secure and nurture business in the direct sale of airless and atmospheric dispensing systems, tubes, jars and color cosmetics to beauty markets using consultative selling skills
  • Be a trusted solution expert: share technical and industry knowledge to clarify customer requirements and our ability to meet those requirements
  • Utilize skill and agility to build new and existing accounts across multiple functions including Purchasing, Packaging Development and Marketing
  • Solicit new accounts through past relationships, leads or cold calling; focus on attainment of annual sales goals through the Fusion business review process, new account development and account retention; attend and cultivate new prospects through 2 to 3 annual trade shows
  • Produce and present sales proposals to customers demonstrating our ability to offer creative solutions-based programs
  • Interface and coordinate with Fusion's in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative beauty solutions
  • Work closely with customers throughout a project's life cycle; troubleshoot and respond appropriately to customer issues
  • Responsible for the appropriate and timely completion of customer correspondence, sample and quote requests
  • Responsible for the appropriate and timely completion of all field reports such as meeting recaps, weekly reports, expense reports as well as various administrative tasks as requested
  • Utilize Salesforce to maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, meeting appointments, closes sales, and follow up activity
  • Participate in sales training and development programs to enhance sales competencies
  • Lead or participate in other assigned projects

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two or more years successful sales experience with a beauty packaging company or similar company supplying to beauty brands Verifiable track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals; Strategic sales planning skills
  • Will also consider strong sales background in a cross-market industry selling to the personal care market
  • Ability to work unencumbered by a previous noncompete agreement
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Some geographical regional travel required; up to 35 to 40%

Regional VP of Sales – West Coast

Position Summary

The Regional VP of Sales will provide sales leadership and direction to assigned West Coast Sales Executives to ensure individual and regional sales goals are met. Sales Executives sell beauty solutions including color and skincare packaging, turnkey design/formulation/packaging services for both color and skincare, and on-trend formulations and packaging in a competitive and innovative marketplace. The Regional VP of Sales will work with executives to develop and execute a sales strategy to enhance market penetration. This role will interface with leaders across the organization including Purchasing, Packaging Development, Operations, Marketing and our China team to execute sales offerings to new and existing customers. The Regional VP of Sales will provide guidance and a framework to ensure a superior customer experience and a high retention rate of customers.

 

Key focus areas that will have an impact

  • Develop and apply an in-depth understanding of Fusion's processes/procedures and sales tools/systems to execute an effective long-term sales strategy
  • Monitor and take necessary measures to ensure adequate pipeline of opportunities for sustainable growth within the region
  • Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, bookings and areas of proposed customer base expansion

  • Proven record of building and growing a sales team and meeting/exceeding annual sales and profitability goals
  • Prior experience with China-based or global manufacturing is strongly desired
  • Salesforce knowledge is preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel up to 35% travel in your assigned territory and to attend industry trade shows

Customer Order Fulfillment Specialist

Position Summary

The Customer Order Fulfillment Specialist is an important member of the Purchasing and Logistics team. This role is primarily responsible for interfacing with our customers in order to track, fulfill and oversee timely delivery of items ordered. In addition to directly connecting to our customers, this role also is responsible for data entry and communication around incoming sales orders and outgoing purchase orders to our vendors. This role will utilize Sage (accounting system) and Salesforce (CRM) on a daily basis.

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take and initiate calls and emails from and to customer; assist with inquiries or direct calls to satisfy customers’ questions and requests
  • Address customers in a friendly and respectful manner; Provide clarity of message and appropriate next steps to build trust and good will
  • Communicate daily with Fusion’s China Operations team to confirm order ready dates and solve scheduling and planning conflicts
  • Track activities through Sage and Salesforce

 

Issue Orders (SO/PO) and Confirm Order Ready Dates

  • Create sales orders and purchase orders in accounting system (SAGE), verify data accuracy and submit to Fusion Packaging China Operations team 
  • Communicate with China team daily in order to meet goal of 24 to 48-hour confirmation of expected order ready date 
  • Communicate order ready dates with customers and ensure customers are satisfied with order fulfillment process
  • Split and rearrange orders as necessary to meet customer needs and expectations 
  • Update purchase orders to match final quantities and shipping requirements 

 

Shipping & Logistics

  • Track shipping documents, process receipt of goods (ROG) against ship date
  • Ensure customers receive shipments on time and that any changes are communicated with customer or account management team as appropriate 
  • Update shipping information in SAGE and prepare and email clearance documents to customers
  • Maintain customer profiles, logistics requirements, and item database in Salesforce.com 
  • Assist team members on routine duties during peak work periods
  • Participate in other assigned projects

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited college, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

  • Experience with logistics or customs documentation is a plus
  • Intermediate experience in MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Prior Salesforce and SAGE experience is a plus
