POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the co-CEO’s and working as a key member of the company’s leadership team. The CFO will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial functions, performing business analytics, recognizing and improving areas of financial inefficiency, building and maintaining corporate relationships, managing information technology, and advising on partnership matters. Must have experience working in a private, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. CFO must be a strong leader capable of scaling business processes to accommodate rapid growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Accounting

  • Create and maintain accounting policies, procedures and controls
  • Daily review and update of batch entry for invoicing/AP/AR/cash receipts
  • Managing accounting staff
  • Review and approve month end journal entries and monthly close process
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
  • Review and approve bank and credit card reconciliations

 

Business Analytics

  • Create monthly executive reporting and present to co-CEO’s
  • Identify company key performance indicators and implement reporting to capture them properly
  • Advise partners and assist in setting business and financial goals and progress reporting
  • Forecasting and projecting annual expectations, variance analysis, and trend recognition
  • Coordinate with auditors to ensure timely issue of annual report
  • Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, contract negotiations, and balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis

 

Corporate Relationships

  • Maintaining and expanding relationships with banks, attorneys, and benefits providers
  • Recognizing potential needs for changes in these areas
  • Researching and recommending future relationships needed as company continues to scale

 

Information Technology

  • Managing IT staff
  • Understanding open projects and assisting in company-wide prioritization of IT resource usage
  • Guiding IT staff in project management including setting of milestones and progress reviews

 

Cash Management

  • Review balances in all accounts and ensure proper allocation of funds for daily operating
  • Review and approve outbound wires for payment of foreign vendors
  • Allocation of accruals for year-end expenses

 

Ongoing Projects

  • Negotiations of the benefit and 401K plans and packages offered
  • Ensure 401K matches are correctly calculated, annual matches made and ensure plan changes are implemented
  • Lease negotiation as necessary
  • Preparation of quarterly tax projections and annual tax return preparation
  • Annual tax returns completed and filed accurately

 

 

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

Experience Required

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of five years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • Must have experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience in a tangible product distribution or manufacturing industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration
  • Experience and knowledge of Cost Accounting
  • Have served most recently in a CFO or similar capacity
  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, financial analysis, financial statements, bank reconciliation, payroll processes, and cost accounting
  • Expert use of financial reporting tools and software

 

Experience Preferred

  • Experience with MAS 90, MAS 200, and/or Sage 100 accounting systems (highly preferred)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM and process management system

 

CPA

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will support the Director of Human Resources. Position will be responsible for all administrative functions in HR: payroll, benefits, onboarding paperwork and new hire set up, audit of current files and ongoing organization of all HR files electronically. Employee will be communicating with staff and management on a daily basis.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides job candidates by screening, interviewing, and testing applicants; notifying existing staff of internal opportunities; maintaining personnel records; obtaining temporary staff from agencies.
  • Administers payroll through HRIS system.
  • Administers medical insurance and benefits programs for annual open enrollment and new hires.
  • Monitors unemployment claims by reviewing claims; substantiating documentation; requesting legal counsel review.
  • Maintains human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases; tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.
  • Orients new employees by providing electronic orientation information packets; reviewing company policies; gathering withholding and other payroll information and benefit programs.
  • Review and submit resumes for job postings to HR Director
  • Documents human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Accomplishes human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ in Human Resources, specifically payroll and benefits
  • Experience with ADP and SharePoint preferred
  • Intermediate skills in Office Suite

Mechanical Engineer – Dallas

We are looking for passionate, highly motivated people who are excited to work on complex mechanical engineering problems. The individual in this position will be working on internal innovation as well as difficult customer driven problems. This engineer needs to possess strong Solidworks, mechanical skills, and plastic injection knowledge. It is preferred this individual has prior cosmetic packaging experience or similar industry knowledge.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a group of sales executives to meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth.
  • Develop actionable and measurable tactical plans for the Sales Executives to proactively pursue each client or prospective client.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts.
  • Develop, then maintain business in the direct sale of airless and dispensing systems to the cosmetic and skin care market using consultative selling skills
  • Responsible for attainment of annual sales goals through the fusion business review process, new account development and account retention.
  • Work closely with in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative packaging solutions.
  • Pursue identified business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing resources define overall sales strategy, and to develop products and solutions responsive to the customer's business.
  • Travel to different territories and go on sales calls with Sales Executives
  • The role requires expertise in management, including coaching for sales behaviors, providing strategic guidance to Sales Executives and utilizing data for planning
  • Conduct weekly team meetings with LA office; manage escalated customer issues and assume responsibility for high customer satisfaction; make decisions using available information and resources; develop sales forecasts, create monthly territory analysis
  • Compile and execute sales strategies with the sales force.
  • Employ and teach a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and indifference and connects "need" with the client's solutions.
  • Implement the company's sales process to establish a culture of consultative selling to customer's decision-makers at all levels.
  • Maintain a competitive edge by keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues, products and markets for airless and atmospheric dispensing systems and jars.
  • Attend trade shows.
  • Entertain customers, such as lunches and dinners, on a regular basis and within expense budget.
  • Interview and hire highly energized Sales Executives when applicable.
  • Evaluate Sales Executives at least twice a year.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned account base.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
  • 7+ years (5+ years managing others) of successful sales experience in the packaging or a cross market industry selling to the personal care market required
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred

  • Work closely with in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative packaging solutions
