JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, ambitious Sales Executive who will be prospecting new business on the west coast. This position will require selling our stock product line and collaborating with customers on their desired custom package.  At Fusion you will have the opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced strategic environment, where bold, innovative thinking isn’t just welcomed, it’s encouraged.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, then maintain business in the direct sale of airless and atmospheric dispensing systems, tubes, and jars to the cosmetic and skin care markets using consultative selling skills
  • Responsible for attainment of annual sales goals through the Fusion business review process, new account development and account retention
  • Work closely with in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative packaging solutions
  • Develop, produce and present sales proposals to customers demonstrating our ability to offer creative solution based programs
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels & cross-function of clients including Purchasing, Packaging Development & Marketing
  • Solicit new accounts through past relationships or cold calling
  • Work closely with client throughout life cycle of project
  • Responsible for the appropriate and timely completion of all field reports such as weekly reports, expense reports as well as various administrative tasks as requested
  • Maintain a clean and neat professional appearance

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college required
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Proven sales track record of meeting sales goals
  • Strategic sales planning skills
  • Ability to gain and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Excellent written and oral skills required
  • Some geographical regional travel required; up to 50%
  • Fusion will consider out of state candidates for the position. Relocation package available for qualified candidates and will be negotiated upon offer of employment.
  • Must live within 30-40 minutes of El Segundo if an LA resident.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Operations Finance Analyst is primarily responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fusion’s Price Policy through day-to-day administration of Fusion’s pricing guidelines. The Operations Finance Analyst will oversee the pricing for stock items, custom pricing and long-term contract pricing and ensure pricing policies and procedures align with Fusion’s overall business strategy.This role will interface and communicate frequently with sales team members to review historical pricing, manage margin erosion, review transportation cost and ensure pricing is presented with supportive analysis. Additional responsibilities include providing general financial support to the operations team, as detailed below.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize internal resources to validate key components of a client’s demographics and product mix to ensure timely and accurate price quotes are delivered
  • Review and analyze client specifications and provide feedback and direction utilizing approved pricing policies
  • Provide concise and accurate responses to pricing process and price policy inquiries
  • Coordinate conversations/meetings and maintain an agenda for outstanding requests that follow and demonstrate the overall pricing integrity of individual exception requests; Effectively coordinate pricing exception requests for discussion and approval
  • Continuously monitor, audit and analyze price quote activity to ensure risks are identified and addressed; Ensure pricing formulas and tables are properly maintained for approved pricing changes
  • Recognize and anticipate missing data from price quote exception requests and obtain required information to ensure proper review of relevant facts pertaining to the proposed opportunity
  • Maintain Pricing Activity reports and perform routine maintenance of reports to ensure accuracy of pricing templates
  • Work with operations leadership on development of annual budgets, interim forecasts, and demand plans for submission to the factories
  • Develop, monitor, and drive policies and procedures around key operations touch points – transportation, cost savings, samples, etc.
  • Develop and maintain key operations metrics
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis/reports for operations team
  • Partner with Accounting team on month-end activities and year-end audit procedures
  • Lead or participate in other assigned projects

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math/Statistics, Accounting, Finance or related fields from an accredited college or university
  • Two or more years of pricing analysis experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills; Intermediate to advanced Excel experience

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sales Assistant is a valuable member of the Sales Organization. The primary accountability of this role is to provide tactical and administrative support and project management oversight to the VP of Business Development. The role will use effective communication skills to interface with several departments of the company and work effectively with individuals at all levels within the company to fulfill the entire scope of duties. Time management, agility and ability to take initiative will be critical in moving from one task to another as priorities change.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General Sales Support

  • Understands VP’s book of business and ongoing diversified projects
  • Schedules and optimize calendar through Microsoft Outlook with extreme attention to detail
  • Prepare meeting assets: agendas, price lists, quotes, renderings, samples
  • Conduct prospect and customer research prior to sales calls
  • Work with Marketing to develop and customize sales presentation materials
  • Enter meeting notes and sales requests in Salesforce
  • Provide follow up and tracking on sales activities when needed
  • Work with all departments to follow up on status of open items, projects, opportunities, needed assets
  • Manage and drive from concept to completion custom and stock opportunities and communicate with Project Managers and Account Managers, as needed to gather updates/information on projects/opportunities
  • Work with pricing when margin analysis and updated quotes are required in a timely manner
  • General administrative support to include; Draft correspondence; Confirm meetings and arrange conference calls; Help ensure timely follow up of emails; Organize client lunches/dinner/events and make domestic and international travel arrangements; Update contacts and capture and organize business cards; Process expenses; Organize and maintain schedule
  • Handle miscellaneous items such as set up/tear down conference rooms for meetings, ordering supplies sending thank you letters along with other projects

Color Division Support

  • Conduct market research, monitor and identify product trends
  • Coordinate Color training documents
  • Manage new color samples and catalog
  • Maintain product image files for items that are looking at being selected  
  • Prepare reports, assessments and analysis documents.
  • Purchase benchmarks
  • Research competitive landscape and maintain and or purchase benchmarks
  • Lead or participate in other assigned project

POSITION AND WHO YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH

The Packaging/Mechanical Engineer is a key member of Fusion’s packaging team and reports to the VP of Packaging. Using their mechanical engineering skills, knowledge of plastic injection molds and expertise in Solidworks, this role will be involved with internal product engineering and will have direct client interface to resolve complex requests and problems.

The Packaging/Mechanical Engineer will work closely with the VP of Packaging, the Director of Design and Development, project managers, packaging engineers and our China factory team to achieve manufacturable designs and to ensure client objectives are met.

 

THINGS YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Supports the development and launching of new and innovative beauty packaging
  • Performs product/package testing; Reviews and approves all packaging test reports
  • Presents findings and designs and recommendations to senior management on key projects and initiatives
  • Manages and prioritizes a list of testing/tasks/activities in an open and transparent way: to manage expectations, reduce risks and optimize workflow
  • Develops timelines for new packaging testing and reporting; insures commitments to timelines
  • Establishes package testing criteria for new products
  • Requests and understands details of decoration options for all components in development
  • Offers recommendations and provides solutions to any design and engineering challenges that may arise when specs cannot be met; Manages and assists in resolution of any project scope changes
  • Establishes feasible deadlines considering potential issues for new product launches; Interact daily with Sales, Account Manager, and other key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout the development process
  • Partners with China team to ensure esthetics, quality and functionality of the package; In conjunction with China partners you will establish standards, limits and acceptable defects for all components on new packages and has approval from appropriate managers
  • Identifies new and improved processes that will result in simplified steps and/or time reductions for the company
  • Compiles all project documentation
  • Leads or participates in other assigned projects

 

THINGS WE HOPE ARE IN YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Three or more years of experience using Solidworks to build complicated multi-part plastic injection products
  • Solidworks simulations experience strongly preferred
  • Three or more years of experience in injected plastic manufacturing and structural packaging and strongly desired
  • Cosmetic packaging experience or similar industry knowledge preferred
