JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for leading the group of West Coast Sales Executives to meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth within the Sales Executives' assigned business territories. This position provides management direction for the Sales Executives assigned to his or her team, and manages relationships with other staff functions to ensure appropriate resources are available and focused to support selling objectives.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS

  • Reports to the co-CEO

 

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Work directly with senior management on understanding goals for the sales team
  • Work with Sales Executive to enforce execution of their goals
  • Work with customers to establish needs and execute projects

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a group of sales executives to meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth.
  • Develop actionable and measurable tactical plans for the Sales Executives to proactively pursue each client or prospective client.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts.
  • Develop, then maintain business in the direct sale of airless and dispensing systems to the cosmetic and skin care market using consultative selling skills
  • Responsible for attainment of annual sales goals through the fusion business review process, new account development and account retention.
  • Work closely with in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative packaging solutions.
  • Pursue identified business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing resources define overall sales strategy, and to develop products and solutions responsive to the customer's business.
  • Travel to different territories and go on sales calls with Sales Executives
  • The role requires expertise in management, including coaching for sales behaviors, providing strategic guidance to Sales Executives and utilizing data for planning
  • Conduct weekly team meetings with LA office; manage escalated customer issues and assume responsibility for high customer satisfaction; make decisions using available information and resources; develop sales forecasts, create monthly territory analysis
  • Compile and execute sales strategies with the sales force.
  • Employ and teach a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and indifference and connects "need" with the client's solutions.
  • Implement the company's sales process to establish a culture of consultative selling to customer's decision-makers at all levels.
  • Maintain a competitive edge by keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues, products and markets for airless and atmospheric dispensing systems and jars.
  • Attend trade shows.
  • Entertain customers, such as lunches and dinners, on a regular basis and within expense budget.
  • Interview and hire highly energized Sales Executives when applicable.
  • Evaluate Sales Executives at least twice a year.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned account base.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
  • 7+ years (5+ years managing others) of successful sales experience in the packaging or a cross market industry selling to the personal care market required
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Proven sales track record of meeting sales goals
  • Expert knowledge of cosmetic and skincare packaging, industry and customers
  • Strategic sales planning skills
  • Ability to gain and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Motivated, assertive, and collaborative; as well as a self-starter and quick thinker
  • Ability to work unencumbered by a previous non-compete agreement
  • Excellent written and oral skills required
  • Travel required, both international and domestic (50%)

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, ambitious Sales Executive who will be prospecting new business on the west coast. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, then maintain business in the direct sale of airless and atmospheric dispensing systems, tubes, and jars to the cosmetic and skin care markets using consultative selling skills
  • Responsible for attainment of annual sales goals through the Fusion business review process, new account development and account retention
  • Work closely with in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative packaging solutions
  • Develop, produce and present sales proposals to customers demonstrating our ability to offer creative solution based programs
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels & cross-function of clients including Purchasing, Packaging Development & Marketing
  • Solicit new accounts through past relationships or cold calling
  • Work closely with client throughout life cycle of project
  • Responsible for the appropriate and timely completion of all field reports such as weekly reports, expense reports as well as various administrative tasks as requested
  • Maintain a clean and neat professional appearance

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college required
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Proven sales track record of meeting sales goals
  • Strategic sales planning skills
  • Ability to gain and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Excellent written and oral skills required
  • Some geographical regional travel required; up to 50%
  • Fusion will consider out of state candidates for the position. Relocation package available for qualified candidates and will be negotiated upon offer of employment.
  • Must live within 30-40 minutes of El Segundo if an LA resident.

ROLE SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the communication hub for all customer support activities. Individuals in this position work directly with all departments within the organization to carry out customer related tasks and satisfy customer needs. This includes daily interactions with sales, operations, purchasing, creative, engineering, and accounting personnel. The account manager interacts closely with sales executives to offer support in the securing of new business by providing quotations, completing sample requests, generating timelines, and ensuring that important operational milestones in the development of an item are met. For established customers, the account manager becomes the primary point of contact for order placement and confirmation, price list maintenance, and tracking and follow up of open orders. The overarching objective of the account manager is to ensure that the company provides flawless service and support to customers through precise communication, diligent and thoughtful project management, and urgent reaction and follow through.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Support

  • Works with sales executives and sales managers to assist in securing new business by facilitating communication with operations and productions teams
  • Interfaces with all departments as customer needs arise including:
    • Operations – project planning, launch timing, milestone tracking
    • Purchasing – item costing and pricing, order tracking
    • Quality – corrective action tracking and response
    • Engineering – technical questions and solutions for packaging choices
    • Creative – artwork review and decoration options
    • Accounting – credit applications, customer setup, customer deposits

Customer Support

  • Communicates daily with customer representatives in purchasing, planning, marketing, and logistics
  • Provides order status updates and confirmations and works through scheduling conflicts as necessary
  • Creates quotes, price lists, item approval sign offs, and customer specific reports as required
  • Anticipates potential problems or complications and works with customer to facilitate timely approvals and decision making

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree

Front Office Administrator – West Coast

The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional office administration support for Fusion’s West Coast branch, located in El Segundo, CA. Individuals in this position work with all departments to carry out administrative tasks and to support the Account Management and Sales teams as needed. This includes project related support such as order entry, sample labeling, sample organization and inventory, as well as administrative support such as answering inbound calls, processing courier packages, and maintaining the presentation of the physical office space. When needed, the team may also require assistance with customer related administrative tasks such as price list maintenance and order status report updates.

Packaging Engineer – Corporate

ROLE SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to support the engineering team with technical analysis regarding designs, developments, product/package performance, customer development, quality concerns, product validation and continuous quality improvement. This position is part of the engineering team and works primarily and directly with the Fusion design, development, project managers, China Engineering, China Quality and Account Managers to deliver innovative new packaging for brand meeting their launch timelines.

This includes daily follow-up with US teams at the headquarters in Dallas and sales offices as verbal and electronic communication with the product teams in China. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and enjoys transactional work but is also comfortable communicating with upper management.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the development and launching of new and innovative beauty packaging
  • Functions as a member of the engineering team as Packaging Engineer
  • Performs product/package testing
  • Manages and prioritizes a list of testing/tasks/activities in an open and transparent way: to manage expectations, reduce risks and optimize workflow
  • Develops timelines for new packaging testing and reporting; insures commitments to timelines
  • Establishes package testing criteria for new products
  • Reviews and approves all packaging test reports
  • Presents findings and designs and recommendations to senior management on key projects and initiatives

 

TECHNOLOGY UTILIZED:

  • SolidWorks, E-Drawings, Mini tabs

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Package Engineering or similar science
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years in a technical packaging support position in cosmetics, beauty packaging or related CPG environment
