Mechanical Engineer – Dallas

We are looking for passionate, highly motivated people who are excited to work on complex mechanical engineering problems. The individual in this position will be working on internal innovation as well as difficult customer driven problems. This engineer needs to possess strong Solidworks, mechanical skills, and plastic injection knowledge. It is preferred this individual has prior cosmetic packaging experience or similar industry knowledge.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Works closely with Director of Design and Development, project managers and engineers, designers, package engineers and staff at factories to achieve manufacturable designs.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or Design Engineering required.
  • Expert level using Solidworks building complicated multi-part plastic injection products required.
  • Solidworks Simulations Experience preferred.
  • Independent, self-motivated, well rounded individual with great communication skills.
  • Ideal to have 3+ years’ experience in injected plastic manufacturing, structural packaging, and cosmetic packaging.
  • Has a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for leading the group of West Coast Sales Executives to meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth within the Sales Executives' assigned business territories. This position provides management direction for the Sales Executives assigned to his or her team, and manages relationships with other staff functions to ensure appropriate resources are available and focused to support selling objectives.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Work directly with senior management on understanding goals for the sales team
  • Work with Sales Executive to enforce execution of their goals
  • Work with customers to establish needs and execute projects

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a group of sales executives to meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth.
  • Develop actionable and measurable tactical plans for the Sales Executives to proactively pursue each client or prospective client.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts.
  • Develop, then maintain business in the direct sale of airless and dispensing systems to the cosmetic and skin care market using consultative selling skills
  • Responsible for attainment of annual sales goals through the fusion business review process, new account development and account retention.
  • Work closely with in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative packaging solutions.
  • Pursue identified business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing resources define overall sales strategy, and to develop products and solutions responsive to the customer's business.
  • Travel to different territories and go on sales calls with Sales Executives
  • The role requires expertise in management, including coaching for sales behaviors, providing strategic guidance to Sales Executives and utilizing data for planning
  • Conduct weekly team meetings with LA office; manage escalated customer issues and assume responsibility for high customer satisfaction; make decisions using available information and resources; develop sales forecasts, create monthly territory analysis
  • Compile and execute sales strategies with the sales force.
  • Employ and teach a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and indifference and connects "need" with the client's solutions.
  • Implement the company's sales process to establish a culture of consultative selling to customer's decision-makers at all levels.
  • Maintain a competitive edge by keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues, products and markets for airless and atmospheric dispensing systems and jars.
  • Attend trade shows.
  • Entertain customers, such as lunches and dinners, on a regular basis and within expense budget.
  • Interview and hire highly energized Sales Executives when applicable.
  • Evaluate Sales Executives at least twice a year.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned account base.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
  • 7+ years (5+ years managing others) of successful sales experience in the packaging or a cross market industry selling to the personal care market required
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Proven sales track record of meeting sales goals
  • Expert knowledge of cosmetic and skincare packaging, industry and customers
  • Strategic sales planning skills
  • Ability to gain and maintain strong professional relationships

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, then maintain business in the direct sale of airless and atmospheric dispensing systems, tubes, and jars to the cosmetic and skin care markets using consultative selling skills
  • Responsible for attainment of annual sales goals through the Fusion business review process, new account development and account retention
  • Work closely with in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative packaging solutions
  • Develop, produce and present sales proposals to customers demonstrating our ability to offer creative solution based programs

We are looking for a Product/Industrial Designer that will work directly with the internal design team to develop new innovative concepts through sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, and prototyping. The designer in this position will be working on internal innovation as well as customer projects with guidance of the design team.
