Position Relationships

This position is part of the engineering and quality team and reports to the VP of Packaging. This role works primarily and directly with Fusion China Engineering, China Quality, directly with suppliers and Account Managers and Sales to provide necessary quality for new packaging for brands. This includes daily follow-up with U.S. teams at the headquarters in Dallas and sales offices as well as verbal and electronic communication with product teams in China. Will take lead on quality communications directly with customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work to ensure Fusion products provide the high level of quality that meets customer expectations
• Sets commercial acceptability standards for Fusion product items with Fusion’s expanding supplier base
• Manages day-to-day quality transactions independently with all teams
• Solves customer quality issues for new and stock packaging with Account Managers and Sales, and works directly with customers to deliver best resolution
• Travels to attend to customer quality issues
• Investigates customer quality issues and complaints, communicates directly with Fusion customers, writes reports, and provides for timely and winning customer resolution; Manages CAR process
• Manages factory quality issues by ruling on acceptability and resolving quality issues with Fusion China/Factory; Manages CAPA process
• Presents quality findings and provide recommendations to senior management on key projects and initiatives
• Establishes processes and procedures and maintains for consistency and improvement
• Manages quality transactions in the system and reports out metrics and results
• Lead or participate in other assigned projects

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or similar science from an accredited college or university
• 5 or more years of experience in a technical quality support position in cosmetics, beauty packaging or related Consumer Packaging Goods (CPG) environments
• Experience in one or more of the following strongly desired: Mini tabs, Six-Sigma, Quality Relations and Reporting
