VP of Marketing

Fusion Packaging is a market leader of luxury packaging and turnkey formulas to the beauty industry.  We are a fast paced, high-energy, entrepreneurial company with a stellar reputation for quality and innovation.

 

We are seeking an experienced VP of Marketing who is a proven visionary with strong creativity and conceptual marketing skills. As the leader of Fusion’s Marketing Department, the ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership of programs while embracing strategic vision, as well as excellence in execution. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to work fast and meet tight daily/weekly deadlines; bringing a positive attitude, enthusiasm and commitment to the team.  Knowledge and passion for the beauty industry and its marketplace with a track record of success and product launch/positioning/messaging.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS

Reports to the CEO.

Manages marketing team, with 2 direct reports: Director of Product Marketing, Director of Brand Marketing.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
  • Works with all cross-functional departments
  • Leads marketing and creative teams to deliver key objectives for execution of marketing deliverables
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the development of all marketing, advertising and public relations activities
  • Oversee and implement social and digital strategy
  • Create quarterly and annual strategic and tactical marketing plans, including annual budget
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of visual & written materials including various sales presentations, brochures, presentation sheets, press releases, pitches, recaps, award entries and product copy
  • Manages and is responsible for the performance of direct reports including accuracy of projects and their development.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics
  • Analyze competitive activity and market trends, customer preferences and habits, pricing and sales channels
  • Monitor all marketing campaigns and improve them when necessary
  • Identify opportunities, and work with cross-functional team on progressing and improving a full pipeline of new products
  • Drive the content creation process across all relevant channels, including company website, in-app communications, educational videos, PR materials, etc.

  • Strong Management skills. Must be able to direct and develop direct reports.
  • Highly motivated, driven, and energetic individual with a sense of resourcefulness
  • Organized, problem/solution oriented and creative by nature
  • Possesses a love and passion for all things beauty and the desire to learn and grow in the industry
  • A team player and excellent communicator with strong presentation, verbal and written skills and knowledge of AP Style
  • Thinks outside the box with the ability to collaborate effectively and possessing strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task, detail-oriented, fast-learner and well organized
  • Social Media Savvy with stellar web researching skills and knowledge of trends
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • A strong sense of urgency with the ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback
  • Ability to balance creativity with analytics
  • Ability to edit written materials and provide content improvements
  • Take a proactive approach to update management on activities and status of projects
  • Work well with others and possess a sense of humor and sense of loyalty
  • Have a desire to go above-and-beyond the call of duty
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, PR, Communications, Journalism, Advertising
  • 7+ years of related Marketing experience in the Beauty/Cosmetics industry
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing and leading a team
  • Experience reporting to C-level leadership or Ownership
